FTG Cranes ISO 14001 certified

We are proud to announce that FTG Cranes in Bäckefors Sweden is now also ISO 14001 certified, in addition to the previous ISO 9001 certification.

The implementation process for ISO 14001 was initiated already in the beginning of 2023 and after an audit last week we have been approved and received our certificate.

The implementation and certification of ISO 14001 is designed to provide assurance to staff, customers and stakeholders that a company’s environmental impact is being effectively measured and improved.

The purchasing, sales, development and production departments have all had their processes updated to ISO 14001, increasing their capacity for environmental assessment and risk analysis.

As part of the Bruks Siwertell Group, FTG Cranes is following the sustainability targets set by the Group for 2030, one of which has been the implementation of the ISO 14001 environmental management system.

The impact and scope of updating and improving the Group’s work processes has many sustainability benefits, from transferring efficiencies to customers, reducing business costs and reducing environmental impact.

-‘Our sustainability goals are included in this ISO standard, which means that going forward we should all operate and think from a deeper environmental perspective, whether we are working in purchasing, design, production or sales,’ says Ulf Godtman, Aftermarket and Quality Manager, FTG Cranes.

‘We were inspired by visiting other local companies that had already implemented these new standards,’ Mr Godtman adds. ‘Our hope is to carry this inspiration forward and support the adoption of this standard more widely.’
