Satisfied customers in Finland

Moheda is growing in Finland

It is not only in Sweden and Norway that Moheda is a valued friend in the forest. The Sax family outside Närpes in Finland recently bought a 12 tonne Moheda M121 with an M51T crane. In the magazine Kone Urakointi, Stefan Sax explains why they chose a Moheda and how it has worked for them in their business.

Stefan Sax from Närpes 1996 has been using the same Valmet 665 tractor for forestry since 1996, and after 28 years he has bought a new forestry trailer, an FTG Moheda M121, to replace the previous forestry trailer. Stefan and his sons Tobias and Mathias, who are also involved in the project, say they bought the new trailer to keep for many years to come. The Moheda trailer has impressed them, partly because of the Swedish company’s good reputation and their innovative technology, which includes electric steering for increased precision. Although the tractor does not have the highest hydraulic power, the new trailer operates smoothly on the terrain, and the entire equipment has proven to be both durable and efficient.

The new trailer is equipped with a 7.5 metre long crane with a lifting torque of 53 kNm, and although Stefan points out that the crane does not swing as much as the previous one, he appreciates the precision and smoothness offered by the electric control. The crane is controlled via the xCrane system from Finnish company Technion, which allows all settings to be adjusted, such as movement speed and hydraulic flows, making the work much easier.

The choice of the Moheda trailer came after careful consideration and gathering information from various sources, including discussions on Swedish web forums such as Skogsforum, where Moheda wagons have a good reputation. Stefan also mentions that factory employees and designers at FTG, which manufactures Moheda, have their own forests and machines, which increased confidence that the products were well thought out and suitable for practical use. To summarise, the new trailer has quickly become a valued tool for the Sax family, and given its durability and performance, they expect many years of continued use.

Buy the magazine and read the article too. If you know Finnish it will be even better. =)
